Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Description

This architectural wonder stands out like a jewel in the desert on the Las Vegas strip. The Luxor’s 30-story black glass pyramid, modeled after the famous Egyptian structures, and the hotel’s towers mimic the splendor and beauty of the ancient world with a mix of modern technology. The spacious rooms are decorated in Eastern finery and surround the world's largest atrium. Guests can also enter the hotel through the 10 story glass Sphinx to feel as though they have traveled through time to another world. The world’s most powerful light beam (a 42.3 billion candlepower ray), sits atop the pyramid. When this light beams up into the sky, it’s visible from 250 miles up in the air!
Along with wonderful journeys through pyramids and a Sphinx, the Luxor offers four outdoor pools and rentable poolside cabanas. Pampering treatments are available at Nurture, the spa and health club, which includes complimentary fruit, juice and water to drink and eat. Ginger-scented showers and spa tubs make for a wonderful olfactory experience, and teeth whitening is also offered for those that want a smile as bright as the Luxor’s beam. Warm Buttered Stone Massage and Citrus Marine Detox are among the many popular treatments at the Luxor’s Nurture Spa, so make sure you book an appointment for some relaxation during your stay.
Champagne Brunches are available on the weekends at MORE, the buffet at the Luxor. The 24-hour lobby lounge, Aurora, features a beautiful special effects ceiling with lighting that resembles the Aurora Borealis. This hip, intimate lounge also offers European bottle service, wines and martinis. If you’re into Las Vegas shows, the Luxor is home to Fantasy, a popular couple’s show that features sexy topless dancers and is suitable for both men and women. Other entertainment options include the newest Cirque du Soleil show, CRISS ANGEL: Believe, and if comedy is more your style, comedian Carrot Top will have you in stitches. The Luxor is known for offering guests an opportunity to discover a destination of intrigue and high energy. The result is an inclusive experience rich with fun and excitement.

Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas

Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas
Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas
Treasure Island was known for the longest time as the host for the best Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas: Mystere is still the best show in Vegas for the money in my opinion offering outlandish sets, costumes, music and great look and feel polished with outstanding acts and theatre. It was focused on being a great family themed casino but as we all know; casinos aren't for kids. So once management realized the mistake they changed the name to TI. "TI" is so corny but that's the world of marketing sometimes.

Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas
Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas
This ship is part of Treasure Island's free show called Sirens. It is performed nightly on the Strip. The best time to check out all the details in front of TI is during the day. Look carefully because skull rock can easily blend into the landscape.
Treasure Island features probably the best free outdoor show on the strip called Sirens of TI involving huge pirate ships, half dressed pirate girls luring in the wayward sailors from another ship, followed by a heated fireworks backed battle, loud crashing music, swinging men and cannons firing across water soaked actors, with some diving into the waters below. This is done right on the strip in front of the casino and when the show is active you really cannot make your way past due to the crowds.
Sirens is worth seeing at least once espceially if you have kids but get there at least 45 minutes before showtime or the little ones won't be able to see much. The show lasts about 30 minutes.

Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas
Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas or TI is located across the strip from Wynn and Venetian. The shows are the best thing about TI and the price is always fair. I have always had decent service here but then again I am not a jerk when it comes to little details since I spend my time gambling. Noisy casino is fun and the staff is helpful and friendly.
Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas
Overview: TI is an exciting adult remake of the original Treasure Island
Location: Central Las Vegas Strip
Restaurants: I always thought Kahunaville was a lot of fun with thier flair bartenders doing tricks with glasses and silverware at the bar. Mexican at Isla Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar, Social House features sushi and Asian cuisine with Strip views, the buffet is quite extensive and everytime I have eaten there it has been well worth the price
Nightclubs, Lounges: Mist is the nicest, few others throughout
Casino: 90,000 square feet, including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Poker, Roulette, more than 2,000 slot machines, and an active poker room, race & sports book has seating for 150 people with 20 TV's and 10+ big screens for major events.
Entertainment: free Sirens of TI show on the strip, Mystère best show for the money in Vegas and family friendly
Extras: free monorail connects TI to the Mirage, walk next door to the Fashion Show Mall
Pools: 1 good sized pool and a giant 50+ person hot tub outside
Health Club or Spa: WET spa is fairly upscale,
Shopping: small shops and restaurants sprinkled around but mostly sell TI related merchandise. Check out this list for serious shopping.
Wedding chapel: numerous packages offered inhouse including one from the ship used in the show and showcased strip front
Childcare facilities: No
Pets allowed: No
Parking garage: 7 story free indoor parking garage
Shuttle service to the airport: back and forth to the airport by a private company, better to take a cab unless you are real short on cash.
Shuttle service to Strip: Treasure Island is ON the strip, no shuttle needed
Hotel amenities: Typical along with onsite car rental, valet parking, salon, currency exchange, laundry, luggage handling, electronic check-out.
Miscellaneous: Check-in time is 3 pm and Check-out time is 11 am. The minimum age to reserve a room is 21 years and there is a maximum number of guests per room of four. Must provide a credit card for incidentals
